Start Here: If You’re Trying to Build a Good Life on Hard Days
Share
I'm glad you found your way here.
Maybe you're dealing with a body that doesn't cooperate, a mind that won't slow down, money worries, or just the everyday stuff that seems to keep piling up. Maybe everything looks fine from the outside, but you're tired of feeling like you're barely keeping up.
Whatever brought you here, you don't have to pretend everything's wonderful. And you certainly don't need one more person telling you to get up earlier, try harder, or fix your whole life by Monday.
I'm Laura, and The Good Life Vibe is where I share what I'm learning about making a good life even when things are hard. Chronic illness changed a lot about my days, including my energy, my plans, and what I can realistically take on. I've had to rethink what a good day looks like. I'm still figuring things out, too. If you'd like to know a little more about me, you can read my story here.

I share practical ideas, honest stories, resources for making everyday life a little easier, and ways to bring in extra money when traditional work or side hustles aren't a good fit. I also share things I find useful, because sometimes a small convenience really does make a difference.
You don't have to read everything or figure out where to begin. Pick whatever feels most helpful to you right now. The rest will be here when you're ready.

If you're living with chronic illness or low energy
I know how frustrating it can be to want to do things and not always have the energy or ability to follow through. You'll find ideas for pacing, managing your mental load, and making room for the parts of life that still matter to you.
Start with Lighten Your Mental Load With Brain Dumping, or browse the trackers and simple organizing tools if writing things down helps you.
If everything feels overwhelming
When your thoughts are going in ten directions at once, sometimes the best place to start is getting one thing out of your head and onto paper. You don't need a perfect routine.
Try my realistic time management tips for stressful days. If you like guided exercises, there's also my 5-4-3-2-1 Grounding Workbook. The grounding method itself is free to try, and the workbook is there if you'd like some structure.
If you're ready for a simpler, more enjoyable everyday life
You don't have to start over or set a pile of new goals. Sometimes the best changes are the little ones: less pressure, more breathing room, and something to look forward to.

If you could use a little extra money or financial help
I know how hard it can be to find income ideas that actually fit your time and energy. I share realistic options without promising overnight success or easy money.
My Extra Cash Without Leaving the Couch guide is one place to explore ideas at your own pace. Choose what fits your circumstances and skip what doesn't.
Another option is mystery shopping. If you're curious about how it works, I have a free Beginner's Guide to Mystery Shopping with information geared toward people managing chronic illness. It's worth exploring if you want something flexible, but the assignments, travel, pay, and energy required can vary, so it won't be the right fit for everyone.
If you're struggling with bills, medication costs, or finding support, my free chronic illness resources and financial assistance guide may give you a place to start. Program rules and funding vary, so please check details with the organizations directly.
If you love finding things that make life easier
I'm always on the lookout for little things that make a difference, whether that's something cozy, practical, or simply fun.

A good life doesn't have to look like anyone else's
There's so much pressure to be productive, stay positive, and keep moving forward. But some days you have a whole list of plans, and some days getting through what's in front of you is plenty.
I still have things I want to do, places I want to go, and goals I'm working toward. I also know now that plans can change. And that doesn't mean the good parts of life are over.
Maybe today your good thing is a quiet cup of coffee, a conversation with someone who gets it, or just knowing there's no place you have to be for a while. That counts, too.
If you'd like someone in your corner
Sometimes what we need most isn't another tip or a new planner. It's a little encouragement and someone who will listen without expecting us to have all the answers.
That's part of why I created Someone in Your Corner, my email-based support offering. You can read about it there if it sounds like something you might appreciate. No pressure.

Take a look around. Save something that helps. Come back on a better day, or a harder one. You don't have to be in a certain season of life or have anything figured out to belong here.
We're all trying to build a life that feels good to us, even when some days are harder than we'd like.
In this together,
Laura
