Surviving the holidays is no small feat - but it can be done!
Here are some tips to help you along:
- Take time for yourself. It’s important to make sure you have time to relax and recharge during the holiday season. Take a few moments each day to do something for yourself, whether it’s reading a book, listening to music, or taking a walk outside. Experiment with different things and keep track so you can go back and decide what works for you and keep up with your self care year around.
- Set boundaries. It’s easy to get overwhelmed with all the activities and obligations that come along with the holidays. Know your limits and don’t be afraid to say no to things you don’t want to do.
- Make time for fun. Don’t forget to enjoy yourself! Take time to do things that bring you joy like baking cookies, decorating your home, or going caroling with family and friends.
- Reach out for help. If you’re feeling overwhelmed and need to talk to someone, don’t hesitate to reach out to a friend or family member, a therapist, or an online support group.
The holidays can be a stressful time, but with these simple tips, you’ll be able to make it through with ease.
